This position will drive profitable sales growth in the defined accounts through competency building, improved sales tools and policies, pricing excellence and coordination of activities Interrelations This position reports directly to the Sales Manager. This position is empowered to draw upon, resources within Global, Regional and Area sales to support and service the customer professionally. Formal authorities The Account Manager has the authority to act within this Functional Deion, agreed budgets and within the t of authority as outlined in the company’s Global Integrated Management System (GIMS). Main responsibilities The Account Manager MUST be result driven with a Can-do attitude who will develop Account Sales in their respective country. ? The Account Manager is responsible for ensuring that Wilhelmsen Ships Service’s customers receive a continual professional service ? The Account Manager has authority to request any Wilhelmsen Ships Service office to arrange that a visit to a customer’s vessel or representative is carried out to ensure that the level of service is maintained ? Manage the delivery of any contract and ensure that we service the customer as per our contractual commitments. This will include the quarterly business reviews. ? Assist in the development of clear customer pricing policies, guidelines and structures, and ensure appropriate pricing setting ? Understand The Customer total business ? Drive performance and ensure implementation and further development of company strategies and policies ? Optimise profitability and ensure that sales budgets / growth targets are prepared annually and targets met ? Develop and action WSS plans and ensure that the market potential is utilised to its optimum and that full business streams are promoted to the market ? Drive profitable sales growth for the defined accounts throughout all WSS’s Business Steams and Market Segments ? Develop competencies, methods and tactics, policies and guidelines which stimulate customer loyalty and tighter contracting amongst defined accounts ? To ensure that technical support is given where and when necessary ? To report on a regular basis the status of his/her accounts ? To analyse relevant customer statistics to ensure that the customer is receiving the correct level of service ? To analyse relevant customer statistics to ensure that any variance budget is noted immediately and corrective actions implemented ? To advise other areas as to the movements of his customers vessels in order that we can offer the high level of service that the customer expects Wilhelmsen ? To ensure the Customer Relationship Management Tool (ORIENT) becomes part of the Account Sales force daily work ? Use of Orient is mandatory for the sales force and must be fully adopted and properly integrated Reporting Monthly Sales Report must include but not only limited to the following: ? Account Sales performance against previous year and if necessary, corrective actions ? Customer intelligence ? Market intelligence ? Competitor intelligence ? Market Segment information ? Offer development Accountabilities This position will be measured against: ? Account Sales Growth x Previous Year ? Account MC1 & MC2 x Previous Year ? Account Credit x Budget ? Ensure high data quality in the ORIENT database for given accounts. Qualification requirements ? Higher education, preferably a Business Degree, BSc or an MBA in Sales & Marketing or at least 5 years relevant work experience ? Proven track record of double digit sales growth ? Fluent English - in both writing and speaking ? Knowledge of the maritime business, an advantage ? Ability to work independently and systematicall
